TUF COOPER SHINES IN STEER ROPING Last season was Tuf Cooper’s best in steer roping, as he finished second in the world standings. Cooper is set to make his third consecutive appearance at the Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping, sit- ting fourth in the world standings. Cooper helped his steer roping goal more by winning the two-head aver- age in Ellensburg with a 24.5-second time. Cooper earned $3,292 in Ellensburg.

A year ago, Rhen Richard had a memorable cam- paign, making his Wrangler NFR debut as a team roping header and tie-down roper. Richard is out of the Wrangler NFR mix this season in team roping, but in tie-down roping he’s looking to make a second trip to Vegas. The latter became closer to reality thanks to Richard winning the average in tie-down roping in Ellensburg with a 26.4-second time on three head.
