Darnell earned $4,503 after taking third in the first round, tying for third in the second round and finishing second in the average. “That was great for me,” Darnell said. “I just wanted to do my job and complete the task at hand. I knew I drew good and was just trying to stay out of my own way. I’m just glad we have good rodeos like that in my circuit.” Not only did the win help the 24-year-old from Nebraska climb to 31st in the PRCA | RAM World Standings with $40,465, it also has him third in the PRCA | Resistol Rookie Standings and first in the Mountain States Circuit.
