and wild cow milking. He was a founding member of the Cowboys Turtle Association, which led to the PRCA. Allred won at the Gila River Round Up in 1942 and was the all-around cowboy at the Florence Prada in 1944 and 1945. He participated and placed in many rodeos throughout his adult life. He entered the calf roping at Madison Square Garden in New York in 1950. In 1986, he traveled to Colorado for the National Old Timers Rodeo Association at age 62 and took second place in team roping. In 2019, Allred was honored as the grand marshal of Prescott (Ariz.) Frontier Days, home of the World’s Oldest Rodeo. Allred was involved in the horse racing industry as a horse trainer, owner and paddock judge. He was a State Racing Steward in Arizona for many years before retiring in 1983. Allred married Betty Johnson in 1976. They enjoyed traveling, golf, playing cards, attending rodeo events and cattle roundups. He was an avid quail hunter, enjoyed hunting deer and elk, and fishing. Allred is survived by his daughter, Alexa ( John); son, Clyde Jr. (Sharon); four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Brown touched innumerable lives, not only through the church but his deep desire to serve his lord and savior Jesus Christ. Brown competed in bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding and steer wrestling. He was instrumental in getting four of his brothers into rodeo, with Barry qualifying for the NFR in 1974 in bull riding. Brown made a cereal commercial for Post Honeycomb, which was filmed at the Silver Spurs rodeo in Kissimmee, Fla., in 1967. Funeral services were held at Windsor Baptist church Aug. 15. H. L. (Harry Lee) Todd, a former PRCA Gold Card member, passed away Aug. 15. He was 84. Todd was born May 6, 1937, in Rexford, Kan., to John Godwin Todd and Bernice Alice McKee. Todd began his career in the livestock business in 1961, Birmingham, Ala., where he served as a teletype officer in the Air Force Reserves while continuing to buy cattle. In 1965, he moved to Burlington, Colo. It was there that he and Rita raised their two daughters, Kelly and Kim. Todd worked for Equitable Agribusiness, Todd H.L. (HARRY LEE) TODD where he worked for Leo Keller. That year, he and Rita went to

It was in Burlington where he built his roping skills and obtained his goal of becoming a successful PRCA cowboy. He competed in tie-down roping, steer wrestling and team roping, eventually making single steer roping his specialty. He qualified for several Mountain States Circuit Finals. He also wonWalla Walla, Wash., in 1975, Dodge City, Kan., in 1991, Sonny Davis Memorial in 1992, Clark McEntire Memorial and the team roping at the West of the Pecos (Texas) Rodeo in 1980. As a member in the Senior Steer Roping Association, he won world championships in 1988-89. He loved competing and was fortunate to own and ride several great horses through the years, including a roan horse that he bred and raised named Flaxy Flash (aka Rufus) that was named the AQHA Steer Roping Horse of the Year in 1995. Todd is survived by his daughters Kelly (Mark) Todd Dykes and Kim Todd Hodge; sister, Mary Alice (Norm) Schlesener; brother Doug ( Joan); grandchildren Sierra Hodge Emerson (Cody), Sheridan Hodge Elliott (Wade), Madison Dykes Phillips (Marcus), Grayson Todd Dykes (Chloe) and Karson Dykes; and great- grandchildren Ryleigh and Reagan Phillips, Asa and Asher Elliott, and Mesa and Kanyon Dykes. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a future date this fall. Details will be posted on Facebook.
