Look at Rising Stars KOBY DOUCH Koby Douch is a 19-year-old tie-down roper from Hunts ville, Texas. He is the brother of John Douch, a three time National Finals Rodeo qualifier in the same event.
Koby attends Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas, and won the College Na tional Finals Rodeo, June 15 in Casper, Wyo. The freshman was aboard his horse Dumpling during his national title run of 35.8 seconds on four head. He secured Hill College’s first championship in the event since 1998. “Koby’s older brother, John, won a reserve national championship in the tie-down roping for Hill College in 2017, so Koby kind of had big boots to fill. Did he ever – stepping up to the plate and taking first in the average after the second round and never looked back,” Hill College rodeo coach Paul Brown said. Douch has already filled his PRCA permit, and said he plans on buying his PRCA card for the 2025 season and will rodeo a little bit, while competing one more year in the college ranks.
