What would you like to ask him? What was the most powerful horse you ever rode? What’s your favorite rodeo? When do you plan on quitting, and how long will you be riding?

Who is your favorite cowboy? My dad and Boudreaux Campbell.

How long have you been competing? One or two years. What got you into rodeo, and what do you like about it? I grew up on a ranch and my poppy (Gizmo McCracken) is a rodeo clown, so I always went to rodeos with him. I like everything about rodeo, it’s a way of life for me. Who is your favorite cowboy? Tyson Durfey or Trevor Brazile because they’re the greatest. We know Tyson’s dad, and he (Tyson) ropes pretty good. I met Tyson in San Angelo (Texas) at the Roping Fiesta and we talked about roping, and he has a No Limits Membership Program where you post videos and Tyson comes and comments on how you can rope better and gives motivational speeches. I watch the videos and read his comments. I like watching his videos since they help me with my roping. What would you like to ask him? Where is your favorite place to rope and what’s your favorite horse? Bronc said your online program helps him with his roping. What do you think of that? It’s just an honor to be able to serve the next generation. The mentorship is about bringing up the future success of young rodeo athletes, and it’s cool he’s using the knowledge that’s in the program to get better and to win more. Bronc wants to know where is your favorite place to rope and what’s your favorite horse? My favorite place to rope at is the NFR. It’s hard not to say that one because of the intensity and electricity and the hype of the crowd and the financial reward when you do well. My favorite horse is definitely Nikko, the horse I won the world on in 2016, and he got me several go-round wins at the NFR and a world championship. He is a once- in-a-lifetime horse, I am blessed to have Mitch and Blue Duck now, but Nikko will never be replaced. TYSON DURFEY Tie-down roper 2016World Champion 14-time NFR qualifier (2007-11, 2013-20)

What would you like to ask Boudreaux? How are you doing? How is your career? What have you been up to with your bull riding? How do you stay focused on the road? What would you like to tell him? Good luck, keep your head up! Not every bull rider stays on every bull.

What would you like to tell him? Go get ’em!

TIM O’CONNELL Bareback rider Three-time world champion (2016-18) Seven-time NFR qualifier (2014-20)

BOUDREAUX CAMPBELL Bull rider Four-time NFR qualifier (2017-20) Kaysen Chaffin, 10, says you’re his favorite bull rider. What do you think about that ?

Clyde wants to know:

What was the most powerful horse you ever rode? Killer Bee.

What’s your favorite rodeo? Excluding the NFR? Oh, man, that’s hard to say. The major rodeos are my favorite since they all have different meanings to them. I won Pendleton (Ore.) twice, and it was my first major win. Then the rodeos in the buildings and the ones outdoors are all special in their own way, and it’s hard to say which one is my favorite. I love going to all of them. I have my favorite small-town rodeos, too, each has something special about it. When do you plan on quitting and how long will you be riding? I plan on quitting when I win my sixth world title, it’ll break the world record and then I’d like to do something to help out with the organization and leave rodeo better than when I found it. • • •

Oh, it’s awesome! That’s a blessing, and everyday that’s something I look forward to, kids looking up to me. I hope to be a good role model for them. Kaysen wants to know: How are you doing? I’m doing really good, just working out, staying in shape and getting ready for the NFR. How is your career? My career has been a blessing and the most fun since I turned 18 and hit the road. I made so many more friends and added some buddies to my group, and rodeoing has been awesome. What have you been up to with your bull riding? I’ve been working at it a lot to stay in shape. I’m getting on as many practice bulls as I can to stay tuned up, and I also do yoga. How do you stay focused on the road? It’s hard to stay focused on the road, there are a lot of distractions out there, but I know I want to ride bulls and be successful at it, so I stay focused on that task. • • •

KAYSEN CHAFFIN Age: 10 Grade: 5th Residence: Norco, Calif. Event: Bull riding

How long have you been competing? I got on my first bull when I was 1 (his dad, Mike, held him on a calf ), then it was mutton bustin’ – so pretty much my whole life. What got you into rodeo and what do you like about it? Well, it’s kind of a family thing. One day, Dad said to get on and it clicked from there, and I liked raising bucking bulls, too. It’s in my blood. Everything is fun about it.
